Marine Infringement Notices and prosecutions

Marine Infringement Notices (MINs) are on-the-spot fines issued by the Queensland Police Service, Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol and Marine Inspectors to boaters who are caught breaching marine safety laws. The most common offences include speeding, unlicensed operation of a boat, unregistered vessel and either having expired safety equipment or no safety equipment at all. In some cases, the Queensland Police Service or Maritime Safety Queensland may prosecute offenders through the courts.

Data will be updated on a quarterly basis.
