Revalidation of a marine licence

Some commercial marine licences are required to be revalidated periodically. The period of validity is generally five years, after which the licence will need to be revalidated.

To revalidate a licence, you will need:

• a completed marine licence application form (PDF, 76 KB)
• a current medical fitness examination and eyesight test
• the original Queensland marine licence that requires revalidation
• a completed sea service assessment application form (PDF, 90 KB) providing evidence of 12 months appropriate sea service, undertaken in the last five years, or successfully pass an independent assessment at a Maritime Safety Queensland regional office
• two recent colour passport photographs, taken within the last year
• payment of fee.
