Ross River – Black Weir Pool bookings
Townsville City Council manages the operation of waterski vessels on Ross River's Black Weir Pool through a permit system due to high demand of the waterway. The purpose of the system is to limit the number of waterski vessels in operation at any one time and to provide equal access of water space for all recreational users.
The permit is only required if you want to to operate a vessel (for example, a motor boat or jet ski) for waterskiing purposes – general boating and fishing vessels do not require a permit. The permit must be booked through Townsville City Council's web-based booking system.
