Bid proposal process

Bid proposals can be submitted for new recreational boating facilities projects. Successful bids are included in a three-year rolling program of works. The majority of projects are scheduled over two years with design and approvals in the first year and construction in the second year.

The local managing authority bid proposal process for new projects consists of:

  • recreational boating facilities application form with the following information (where applicable):
    • identification of environmental constraints and approval required
    • signature of local authority to accept management responsibilities of the proposed facility
    • identification of environmental constraints and approval required
    • details of tenure of land
  • project concept plans (where requested) including:
    • aerial map
    • site photos
    • car-trailer parking unit (CTU) designs
  • integrated development assessment system (IDAS) requirements
  • referral checklist.
